We are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Chorley to recruit a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team from 23rd February until the end of the academic year. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and motivated HLTA who is passionate about supporting young people and making a positive impact on their learning and confidence.

The Role

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the teacher
  • Support teaching and learning across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Work with small groups and individuals to raise attainment
  • Assist with the planning and preparation of learning activities
  • Provide feedback on pupil progress and behaviour
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold HLTA status or have relevant experience at HLTA level
  • Have experience working in a secondary school setting
  • Be confident managing whole-class learning
  • Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills
  • Be flexible, proactive and committed to supporting students
  • Have a genuine passion for education and safeguarding
