A highly regarded specialist education setting in Beaminster is looking for a caring and dedicated Childcare Assistant to join their supportive team. The school provides a nurturing and inclusive environment for children and young people aged 2-18 with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including learning difficulties, communication needs, and complex additional needs. Working Hours: Full-time, term-time only position and typical hours 9.00am - 3.45pm
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils aged 2-18 with a range of SEN and additional needs
- Assist with personal care and daily routines where required
- Provide 1:1 and small group support in and outside the classroom
- Encourage pupils' communication, independence and social skills
- Work closely with teachers and specialist staff to support learning and wellbeing
