Make a Real Difference in Young People’s Lives
Are you passionate about helping young people grow in confidence, overcome challenges, and work towards their future goals?
About the Role
We’re looking for a School Youth Worker to join a welcoming secondary school, supporting students aged 11–16. You’ll play a vital role in helping students feel safe, understood, and ready to engage in learning — working closely with teaching and pastoral teams to create a positive and inclusive school environment.
You’ll be working alongside the school’s Specialist Resource Base (SRB), supporting students with additional learning needs through a mix of mainstream access and specialist provision. Support is personalised and rooted in person-centred practice, focusing on identifying barriers and helping students thrive both academically and emotionally.
The SRB supports learners with a wide range of needs, including:
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
Severe learning difficulties
Speech, language and communication needs
Physical or medical needs
You’ll be part of a highly collaborative team. This is a genuinely nurturing and supportive school community — a fantastic place to make a lasting impact.
Is This You?

Are confident supporting pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) or behaviour needs
Can remain calm, patient, and approachable in challenging situations
Understand the emotional and social needs of young people
