We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Geography to join a welcoming and successful mainstream secondary school in Accrington, Lancashire from November 2026 until July 2027.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher to deliver engaging Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering curiosity about the world and helping students achieve their full potential.

The Role

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Geography lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Inspire and motivate students through creative and engaging teaching.
  • Assess, monitor and report on student progress.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school and support extracurricular activities where appropriate.

The Successful Candidate Will Have

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
  • Experience teaching Geography within a UK secondary school setting.
  • Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for Geography.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with students, staff and parents.

All applicants must hold QTS and be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check and referencing process in line with safer recruitment practices.
