SEN Teaching Assistant – Autism & ADHD Support


Carshalton | September 2026 Start | Role until Christmas 2026


Two friendly mainstream primary schools in New Malden and Surbiton are recruiting an SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils within their dedicated SEN provision.


About the role:



  • 1:1 and small group support for pupils with high-functioning autism

  • Supporting emotional wellbeing, communication, and learning

  • Using visual aids, clear routines, and calm approaches

  • Working alongside teachers, SENCOs, and parents


Ideal background & Skills:



  • Previous SEN TA experience

  • Psychology / Criminology graduate with child-related experience

  • Confident, empathetic, and proactive

  • Strong communication skills


This is a medium to long-term, full-time role offering excellent experience and training.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
