About The Role
Teaching Personnel are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Science Teacher who is ready to make a positive impact on the pupils in one of our highly rated Secondary schools in the Carmarthen area! This is your chance to work in a school with an experienced department and strong leadership team – this position includes teaching across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. Whether you specialise in Biology, Chemistry or Physics you will help students explore their curiosity and grow their confidence in the subject.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons – including practical demonstrations.
- Inspire pupils to explore their inquisitiveness and to test their hypothesis.
- Prepare students for GSCE Science and help them to develop their knowledge.
- Create a safe and engaging classroom environment.
- Support learners of mixed abilities and differentiate instruction to meet the individual needs.
Requirements
- Enhanced DBS (children only) on the update service or willing to obtain.
- EWC registration.
- Safeguarding (children and young people).
- 24 months of references (factual, characteristics and for childcare).
- NQT or FQT qualifications.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Science or related field.
- Experience teaching Science at secondary level in the UK.
- UK driving license (preferred).
