About the Role
You will work closely with pupils who may display challenging behaviour, providing tailored support to help them re‑engage with education and achieve their potential.
Responsibilities
- Support students on a 1:1 basis or within small groups
- Manage and de‑escalate challenging behaviour calmly and effectively
- Create a safe, positive and structured learning environment
- Work collaboratively with staff and support teams
- Encourage confidence, resilience, and independence in learners
Qualifications & Experience
- Relevant qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, Teaching Assistant or equivalent)
- Essential experience working with challenging behaviour
- Experience within PRU, SEN, alternative provision or behavioural settings (desirable)
- Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, patient mindset
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, consistent and committed approach
- Genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people
