About the Role
Teaching Personnel are seeking a strong-minded, resilient, and compassionate Behaviour Mentor to work within one of our provisions in the Carmarthen area. This role involves supporting Key Stage 2 pupils who may present with challenging behaviour, social and emotional needs, or barriers to learning. The successful candidate will be adaptable and proactive, able to respond effectively to both the curriculum and individual pupil needs. You will play a vital role in creating a nurturing, inclusive, and trauma-informed environment, supporting joyous pupils to engage positively with learning and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily support to pupils displaying challenging behaviour
- Work closely with teaching staff to promote positive behaviour and engagement
- Effectively manage behaviour to maintain a focused and safe learning environment
- Create a calm, supportive, and nurturing setting for all pupils
- Support pupils to develop confidence, resilience, and essential life skills
- Deliver 1:1 and small-group mentoring sessions
