Are you currently looking for a Teaching Assistant role in the Cardiff area on a full time, part time or flexible basis? Teaching Personnel would love to hear from you! We are looking to recruit Teaching Assistants to work across primary schools in the centre of Cardiff.
The ideal candidate must be able to work a minimum of 1 day per week, but the position can work around you whether you are looking for flexible days, or a full time / part time role. The ideal candidate will be able to support the children and teacher with general classroom assistance, and you will have the opportunity to work in a range of age groups from Foundation Phase to Key Stage 2, as well working in a range of Primary Schools in the Cardiff area. Adaptability is essential to work well with different age groups, and the ideal candidate must be reliable.
There may also be opportunities to work with children on a 1:1 basis who require extra support throughout the day, therefore the ideal Teaching Assistant must be confident supporting children with a range of needs. Experience working with children or as a Teaching Assistant is desirable but not always needed!
Ideal candidate:
- Enthusiastic and hardworking individual, eager to help in all areas and use initiative.
- Ability to build professional relationships with children, teachers and parents in the school.
- Good communication skills, being able to manage small groups of children with intervention work.
- Confident providing 1:1 support to children with additional learning needs.
- Ability to work well as part of a team or with other staff members and bring new ideas.
Requirement Criteria:
- Enhanced DBS (Child Only) checks must be completed before the role will commence.
- EWC registration - mandatory requirement in Wales.
- Experience personally or in a working environment with children (desirable).
