Sporty Teaching Assistant – Primary School

Teaching Personnel is working closely with a welcoming and inclusive primary school to recruit a Sporty Teaching Assistant to start as soon as vetting checks are complete. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a background in sport, coaching, or a related degree who is looking to transition into an education setting.
The school is seeking a proactive, energetic, and engaging individual who can use their passion for sport to support pupils both in and out of the classroom. You will play a key role in encouraging participation, promoting positive behaviour, and supporting pupils who benefit from a more active and hands-on approach to learning.
- Supporting pupils across the classroom with a focus on engagement through physical activity
- Assisting with PE lessons, structured games, and extracurricular activities
- Promoting teamwork, resilience, and confidence in pupils
- Supporting children with a range of additional needs and learning styles
- Working closely with teaching staff to maintain a positive and inclusive environment
Previous experience in sports coaching, PE support, or a sports-related degree is required. The ideal candidate will be confident, enthusiastic, and able to build strong relationships with pupils. A commitment to safeguarding and supporting pupil wellbeing is essential.
