Hours: 32.5 hours per week (8:30am – 3:30pm), term time only

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a primary school in Llanishen to recruit a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support pupils within a Specialist Resource Base (SRB) from mid-January. This role involves supporting children with Additional Learning Needs (ALN), including autism and associated communication and sensory needs. The school offers a structured, nurturing environment and is supported by an experienced SEN team who value consistency, patience, and positive relationships. The successful candidate will support pupils on a one-to-one and small-group basis, helping them to access learning, develop communication skills, and build independence within the school setting.

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting children with SEN/ALN, ideally within an SRB or specialist setting
  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach
  • Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration, or willingness to register
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply
