Are you looking to make a meaningful impact in the education sector while gaining valuable paid experience? Teaching Personnel is actively seeking dedicated and compassionate specialist teaching assistants to work in the Cardiff area within a specialist client provision.

About the Role: In this position, you will be working directly with students diagnosed with Autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, Down syndrome, epilepsy, and various mental health challenges. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting individual students in their daily routines
  • Engaging them throughout the school day to help achieve specific learning objectives
  • Assisting in identifying triggers and employing effective de-escalation tactics when required
  • Regularly reporting on pupils' behaviours and achievements

Ideal Candidate: We are looking for someone who meets the following criteria:

  • Holds a pending or qualified degree in Psychology or Criminology
  • Possesses excellent behaviour management skills
  • Has strong communication abilities and a genuine passion for helping others
  • Is open to training in Team Teach and Manual Handling
