Are you a passionate and energetic Level 3 Personal Trainer looking to gain hands-on experience in education? We are seeking a sporty, enthusiastic Supply Sports Coach to support PE and sports provision within a welcoming secondary school in Cardiff (CF5). This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to combine their fitness expertise with working alongside young people in a school setting.

While a Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification is desirable, we also welcome sports students and graduates who are working towards or hold sports-related qualifications.

The Role

  • Supporting and co-delivering high-quality PE lessons
  • Taking small groups of students into the school gym and ensuring safe, effective use of equipment
  • Leading and assisting with training sessions, practices, and after-school clubs
  • Providing individual and group coaching feedback to improve performance
  • Promoting teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship
  • Supporting classroom learning across general subjects when required
  • Ensuring student safety and maintaining high behaviour standards
  • Assisting with school competitions and sporting events

We’re Looking For

  • Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification (desirable)
  • Students or graduates in a sports-related degree (or currently studying)

  • Coaching, playing, or leadership experience (desirable but not essential)
  • First Aid/CPR (preferred but not required)
