Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Cardiff to recruit a full-time Welsh-speaking Teaching Assistant to join their team after the Easter half term. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children’s learning through the medium of Welsh and who is looking for a consistent, full-time role within a primary school setting.
The Role:
- Supporting pupils across the primary age range, both in small groups and on a 1:1 basis
- Assisting the class teacher with day-to-day classroom activities
- Supporting pupils with additional learning needs where required
- Promoting the Welsh language within the classroom and wider school environment
- Helping to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning atmosphere
The Ideal Candidate:
- Fluent Welsh speaker (spoken Welsh essential)
- Experience working with children in a school or childcare setting
- Passionate, patient, and proactive approach to supporting learning
- Able to work effectively as part of a team
- Holds (or is willing to apply for) an enhanced DBS registered on the update service
