We are seeking a dedicated full-time Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 7 pupil within a mainstream secondary school in Cardiff. The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide tailored 1:1 support to a Year 7 pupil with additional learning needs within a mainstream classroom setting. Your role will involve helping the pupil to:
- Access learning in a way that suits their individual needs
- Develop confidence, independence, and social skills
- Engage positively with classroom activities
- Build positive relationships with peers and staff
- Follow personalised learning plans set by teaching and SEN staff
Requirements
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (support available if required)
- EWC (Education Workforce Council) registration (guidance provided)
- Two recent references from employers or relevant roles
