The role:
- Working closely with the class teacher to support learning across the Key Stage 1 curriculum, helping children to engage in lessons, build confidence, and reach their potential.
- Supporting children in small groups or on a 1:1 basis where needed.
- Assisting with phonics, literacy, and numeracy activities.
- Encouraging positive behaviour and social skills.
- Helping to prepare classroom materials and set up activities.
- Taking part in creative, hands-on learning both inside and outside the classroom.
The ideal candidate will be someone who:
- Has proven experience working in a primary school (KS1 experience is essential).
- Is confident supporting children of different abilities and needs.
