Are you a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant with experience supporting pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) or Complex Learning Disabilities and Difficulties (CLDD)? We are working with a fantastic special educational needs school that provides a nurturing, inclusive, and person-centred environment for children and young people with additional needs. The school is looking for caring and resilient individuals to join their team and make a real difference to students’ lives on a full-time basis.
- Supporting pupils with PMLD/CLDD in all aspects of their learning and development.
- Assisting with personal care and mobility, including moving and handling and hoisting (full training provided if needed).
- Supporting pupils with complex medical needs, including those with epilepsy.
- Using communication aids and sensory resources to engage and motivate pupils.
- Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to deliver individualised education and care plans.
Previous personal or professional experience supporting children or young people with PMLD/CLDD (school, residential, or care setting). Understanding of safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare. A patient, positive, and compassionate approach. Excellent teamwork and communication skills. Have an Enhanced Child DBS or willing to obtain.
