We are currently looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and nurturing Bank Nursery / EYFS Assistants to support our partner primary schools across Cambridgeshire. This flexible role is ideal for candidates seeking work that fits around their lifestyle, offering both short-term daily supply and longer-term opportunities.

About the Role

  • Support the class teacher in delivering a stimulating and engaging learning environment for young children.
  • Help prepare the classroom for daily activities, setting up and clearing away resources as needed.
  • Supervise pupils during break and lunch times to ensure a safe and positive play experience.
  • Encourage learning through play by observing, interacting with, and supporting children in child-led activities.
  • Work with small groups or individual pupils to develop early skills in communication, reading, writing, and Maths.
  • Promote the physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development of all children.
  • Contribute to staff and year-group meetings when required.
  • Participate in relevant training and CPD opportunities to enhance your skills.

Requirements

  • A flexible and adaptable approach to both short-term and long-term positions.
  • A genuine passion for supporting young learners in their early development.
  • Previous experience within a primary or early years setting or a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • All staff must complete comprehensive interviews, provide references, and hold (or be willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service.
