Teaching Personnel are currently seeking qualified and experienced Level 3 SEND Teaching Assistants to support a range of welcoming and inclusive schools. We are working closely with schools seeking dedicated SEND professionals to support pupils with a variety of additional needs including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties, and moderate to severe learning needs.
These opportunities are available on a full-time and part-time basis and are ideal for experienced SEND Teaching Assistants looking for consistent work and the opportunity to make a lasting impact within education.
Please note: this role has strict essential requirements. Candidates must hold a recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification and have recent, relevant UK-based school experience supporting pupils with SEND. A full UK driving licence is desirable due to school locations, but not essential.
The Role
- Provide high-quality 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEND
- Deliver targeted interventions to support academic, emotional, and social development
- Support pupils with a range of needs including ASC, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties, and learning needs
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and wider school staff
- Adapt learning resources and activities to support pupil engagement
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies
- Contribute to creating a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment
A Typical Day May Include
- Supporting individual pupils throughout the school day
- Delivering intervention sessions and structured learning activities
- Assisting pupils with communication and emotional regulation
- Implementing behaviour and support plans
- Supporting classroom learning and adapting activities where required
- Monitoring progress and feeding back to teachers and SENCOs
- Supporting transitions and wider school activities
Who We're Looking For
- Essential: recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
- Essential: recent and relevant UK-based experience supporting pupils with SEND in a school setting
- Experience supporting pupils with needs such as ASC, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties, or learning disabilities
- Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
- A calm, patient, resilient, and proactive approach
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
