Responsibilities:
  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging, tailored lesson plans.
  • Encourage children’s confidence and independence within the classroom.
  • Assist with academic tasks across subjects such as literacy and numeracy.
  • Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to the class teacher.
  • Build positive, nurturing relationships with pupils to maintain a safe and inclusive environment.
  • (Desirable) Provide additional support to pupils with SEND, adapting activities to meet their individual needs.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children, ideally within a primary school.
  • A genuine passion for helping children reach their full potential.
  • Patience, flexibility, and a proactive approach to supporting diverse needs.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
  • A relevant qualification (Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or similar) is desirable, not essential.
  • An enhanced DBS check will be required.
  • Ability to travel between schools is desirable but not essential.
