Teaching Personnel is recruiting dedicated Teaching Assistants for a range of positions in local primary schools, including day-to-day supply, long-term placements and potential permanent opportunities.

Your Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting pupils both inside and outside the classroom, helping to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment. You’ll be responsible for:

  • Working alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging learning activities
  • Supporting pupils with literacy, numeracy and classroom tasks
  • Encouraging confidence, independence and positive behaviour
  • Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback where required
  • Building positive relationships with children, staff and families
  • Providing tailored 1:1 support for pupils with SEND where needed, adapting learning to suit individual needs

What We’re Looking For

We’re keen to hear from candidates who have:

  • Previous experience working with children, ideally within a primary school setting
  • A positive, patient and enthusiastic approach to supporting young learners
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • The ability to adapt to different classroom environments
  • A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
  • The ability to travel to local schools is beneficial, though not essential
