Primary SEMH Teacher (QTS Required) – Ely Area
Location: Ely, Cambridgeshire
Start Date: 1st September 2026
Contract: Full-Time Supply Role
Duration: Until October Half Term initially, with the possibility of extending for the full term
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a specialist education setting in the Ely area for a Primary SEMH Teacher to join their team from September.

The Role
- Deliver engaging and inclusive primary curriculum lessons to pupils with additional needs.
- Build positive relationships that promote confidence, wellbeing and academic progress.
- Support pupils both in the classroom and during outdoor learning activities.
- Work collaboratively with support staff and the wider school team to create a safe and positive learning environment.
- Use effective behaviour management strategies to help pupils achieve their full potential.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
- Experience working with children with SEMH, SEND or additional needs is highly desirable.
- Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills.
- A flexible and proactive approach to teaching.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential due to the location of the school.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
Working Hours
- Monday: 8:30am – 4:30pm
- Tuesday: 8:30am – 4:30pm
- Thursday: 8:30am – 4:30pm
- Friday: 8:30am – 3:30pm
