Location: Caerphilly

Hours: 8:30am – 3:00pm, Monday to Friday (Term-Time Only)

Pay: £93 per day via PAYE – paid weekly

Teaching Personnel is recruiting enthusiastic and caring individuals to join secondary schools across Caerphilly as Trainee SEN Learning Support Assistants. No problem — full training and ongoing support will be provided.

As a Trainee Learning Support Assistant, you will work with students aged 11–18, supporting pupils with a range of Additional Learning Needs (ALN), including:

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • ADHD
  • Dyslexia
  • Social, emotional, and behavioural needs

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support
  • Assisting students in the classroom
  • Encouraging engagement and confidence in learning
  • Supporting positive behaviour and inclusion
  • Helping create a safe and supportive learning environment

We’re seeking compassionate, motivated individuals who are eager to build a career in education. Ideal candidates may have experience in:

  • Education or tutoring
  • Care or support work
  • Youth work or coaching
  • Social care or healthcare settings

You should also have:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A positive, proactive attitude

  • Willingness to complete funded training
  • The ability to obtain an Enhanced DBS check (full support provided)
