Teaching Personnel is recruiting enthusiastic and caring individuals to join secondary schools across Caerphilly as Trainee SEN Learning Support Assistants. No problem — full training and ongoing support will be provided.
As a Trainee Learning Support Assistant, you will work with students aged 11–18, supporting pupils with a range of Additional Learning Needs (ALN), including:
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- ADHD
- Dyslexia
- Social, emotional, and behavioural needs
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing 1:1 and small group support
- Assisting students in the classroom
- Encouraging engagement and confidence in learning
- Supporting positive behaviour and inclusion
- Helping create a safe and supportive learning environment
We’re seeking compassionate, motivated individuals who are eager to build a career in education. Ideal candidates may have experience in:
- Education or tutoring
- Care or support work
- Youth work or coaching
- Social care or healthcare settings
You should also have:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A positive, proactive attitude
- A genuine passion for supporting young people
- Willingness to complete funded training
- The ability to obtain an Enhanced DBS check (full support provided)
