We are seeking dedicated and adaptable Teaching Assistants to work across primary settings in Rhondda Cynon Taf, Merthyr Tydfil and Caerphilly. The role may involve supporting pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN), helping them to access learning and reach their full potential:
- Provide support to pupils across the primary age range, including those who may have ALN such as ASD, ADHD, or speech and language needs.
- Assist class teachers in delivering engaging, accessible lessons and classroom activities.
- Offer one-to-one and small-group support to promote confidence, independence and key learning skills.
- Encourage positive behaviour and contribute to an inclusive, nurturing learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, ALNCos/SENCOs and wider support staff to meet individual learning needs.
Key attributes:
- Patient, caring and understanding of children's individual needs.
- Passionate about supporting children to overcome barriers to learning.
- Flexible, reliable and confident working in different classroom settings.
- A strong team player with excellent communication skills.
- Experience working with primary-aged pupils or within an educational environment is desirable but not essential.

- Education Workforce Council (EWC) Registration
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
- References covering the last two years of employment.
