Are you an energetic, sporty Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role where every day is different? We are seeking enthusiastic and active TAs to work across a variety of schools in the Rhondda Cynon Taff area. This may include SEN schools or supporting children with ALN (Additional Learning Needs). About the Role

  • Support pupils across Primary, Secondary, or SEN settings.
  • Provide tailored assistance to children with ALN, which may include ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or learning delays.
  • Use sport, movement, and active tasks to engage and motivate learners.
  • Assist teachers with classroom activities, small-group support, and behavioural regulation.
  • Build positive, nurturing relationships with pupils to help them achieve academically and emotionally.
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment.

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Sporty, energetic, and confident leading active learning sessions.
  • Patient, adaptable, and passionate about supporting diverse learners.
  • Able to quickly build supportive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Positive, reliable, and eager to contribute to a team environment.
  • Experienced with ALN/SEN (beneficial but not essential).

Requirements

Teaching Personnel can assist you with obtaining:

  • Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
  • Two recent, relevant references
