Full-Time Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support) in Caerphilly

Location: Caerphilly (CF81)
Start Date: January 2026 – July 2026 (possibility of extension)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Pay: £90 per day

Are you caring, patient, and passionate about helping young people thrive? We\’re looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a KS3 pupil in a welcoming, mainstream secondary school in Caerphilly.

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Work closely with teachers to support students with a range of Additional Learning Needs (ALN) including Autism (ASD), ADHD, and social, emotional and behavioural challenges
• Provide one-to-one or small group support to ensure all learners can thrive.
• Help create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
• Gain valuable classroom experience to support your future career in teaching, youth work, or psychology.

You don\’t need previous school experience – we welcome people from all backgrounds who have supported children, young people, or individuals with additional needs.

• Transferable sector experience: Youth work or youth support work, Mental health support or wellbeing roles, Healthcare or care work, Coaching, mentoring, or community engagement
• Excellent communication and listening skills
• Patience, empathy, and emotional intelligence along wtih adaptability and problem-solving abiliti
