We are working in partnership with inclusive and nurturing primary mainstream and specialist schools across Buxton, Derbyshire, who are currently seeking SEN Teaching Assistants. These schools support pupils with SEN and SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs and are committed to creating structured and supportive learning environments where every child can thrive.
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support across primary settings
- Support pupils with SEN and SEMH needs both inside and outside the classroom
- Help pupils build confidence, resilience, and positive routines
- Support emotional regulation and encourage engagement in learning
- Work closely with teachers and support staff to provide consistent support and care
Requirements:
- Has experience supporting children with SEND, SEMH, or challenging behaviour
- Has a background in care, youth work, education, or mental health support
- Demonstrates patience, empathy, and strong communication skills
- Builds positive relationships quickly and maintains a calm, consistent approach
Full-time, long-term opportunities across local schools:
- Working hours typically 8:30am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
