SEN Teacher – Primary Specialist Provision (Maternity Cover)

Location: Bury, Greater Manchester

Contract: Full time, September start

We are currently recruiting for a full-time SEN Teacher to join a well-established primary specialist provision in Bury on a maternity cover basis starting in September. This setting supports pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism, communication needs and moderate learning difficulties. The school has a strong reputation for its structured approach, high levels of support staff and focus on individualised learning.

The Role

You will take full responsibility for a class, delivering lessons that are adapted to meet a range of needs, while creating a consistent and supportive learning environment. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering highly differentiated lessons
  • Creating a structured and predictable classroom environment
  • Supporting pupils’ communication and engagement
  • Managing behaviour in a calm and consistent way
  • Working closely with Teaching Assistants and SEN staff
  • Monitoring and tracking individual progress
