We are working with a welcoming and supportive college in Bury seeking a dedicated Graduate Maths Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis from September 2026.

As a Graduate Maths Teaching Assistant, you will support students of different abilities. The role will involve a combination of:

  • Providing targeted 1:1 support for students requiring additional help in Maths.
  • Delivering and supporting small-group intervention sessions.
  • Assisting teachers in delivering engaging Maths lessons.
  • Helping students build confidence, understanding and problem-solving skills.
  • Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teaching staff.
  • Encouraging positive engagement and participation in learning.
  • Supporting students preparing for examinations and assessments.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Maths or a related subject.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Maths.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patient, supportive and enthusiastic approach to working with young people.
  • A desire to pursue a career in education, teaching or student support.
  • Previous experience working with young people is beneficial but not essential.
