We are working with a welcoming and supportive college in Bury seeking a dedicated Graduate Maths Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis from September 2026.
As a Graduate Maths Teaching Assistant, you will support students of different abilities. The role will involve a combination of:
- Providing targeted 1:1 support for students requiring additional help in Maths.
- Delivering and supporting small-group intervention sessions.
- Assisting teachers in delivering engaging Maths lessons.
- Helping students build confidence, understanding and problem-solving skills.
- Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teaching staff.
- Encouraging positive engagement and participation in learning.
- Supporting students preparing for examinations and assessments.
Requirements:
- A degree in Maths or a related subject.
- Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Maths.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patient, supportive and enthusiastic approach to working with young people.
- A desire to pursue a career in education, teaching or student support.
- Previous experience working with young people is beneficial but not essential.
