Teaching Personnel are recruiting for a confident, proactive, and motivated Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary SEN school in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate with prior SEN experience who is looking to build a long‑term career within specialist education.

The Role

  • Support pupils within small class groups, working both 1:1 and in small groups to help them access learning and develop key life skills.
  • Work closely alongside the class teacher and wider support team, playing a key role in managing challenging behaviours and supporting pupils with personal care needs where required.
  • Respond effectively to the varying needs of pupils throughout the school day.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience within a SEN or specialist school setting.
  • Knowledge of needs such as ASD, SEMH, SLCN, or complex needs.
  • Team Teach training (or willingness to undertake training).
