As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to help pupils access learning, develop independence, and achieve their individual goals. Responsibilities
- Support pupils with SEN on a 1:1 and small‑group basis

- Support pupils with personal care and physical needs when required
- Encourage social, emotional, and communication development
- Help create a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and wider support staff
- Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback on wellbeing and achievement
Qualifications
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN
- Confident, resilient, and proactive approach
- Comfortable supporting personal care needs
- Ability to manage and respond positively to challenging behaviour
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
- Genuine passion for SEN education and supporting vulnerable learners
- Previous work within a specialist or SEN school setting
- Understanding of ASD, SEMH, SLCN, or complex needs
- Team Teach training or willingness to complete training
- Interest in pursuing a career in teaching, educational psychology, therapy, or related fields
