We are currently working alongside a welcoming and well-supported primary SEN setting in Bury who are looking to appoint a full-time SEN Teacher from September. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a lovely school with a strong sense of community, supportive leadership and an experienced support staff team. The provision caters for pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism, communication needs and associated learning difficulties, and takes a nurturing and structured approach to learning. The school is looking for a teacher who is passionate about creating an engaging and positive classroom environment, and who understands the importance of building strong relationships with pupils in order to support both learning and development.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
  • Creating a calm, structured and supportive classroom environment
  • Working closely with Teaching Assistants and wider SEN staff
  • Supporting pupils' communication, confidence and emotional development
  • Monitoring progress and adapting teaching approaches where required
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, staff and families

Qualifications

  • Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Have previous experience within SEN, primary education or specialist settings
  • Be patient, adaptable and proactive in their approach
  • Have strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Be committed to working full time from September
