We are currently seeking to appoint Cover Supervisors for a number of secondary schools located across the Bury area. These opportunities are available for both immediate start and September 2026. The successful candidates will be responsible for supervising whole classes during the short‑term absence of teaching staff. Pre‑prepared lesson materials will be provided, and the role will involve ensuring that students remain on task and that a constructive learning environment is maintained.
Responsibilities
- Delivering pre‑set lesson plans in accordance with school guidelines
- Managing classroom behaviour effectively to ensure a focused learning environment
- Supervising and supporting students in completing assigned work
- Upholding school policies and procedures at all times
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to manage classroom behaviour confidently
- A professional and proactive approach to work
- Experience working with secondary‑aged students is desirable but not essential
- An enhanced DBS certificate on the update service is required, or a willingness to obtain one.
