A welcoming primary school is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time, term-time only basis. This role is perfect for someone with childcare experience who is enthusiastic, patient, and keen to make a positive impact in the classroom.
About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils across the school. You may be working in a general classroom support role or providing 1:1 support for children who need additional help.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the class teacher with daily classroom activities
- Assisting pupils with their learning, ensuring they are engaged and progressing
- Offering 1:1 support where required
- Helping to create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
- Supporting behaviour management and pastoral needs
- Preparing learning materials and resources
Requirements
- Experience working with children (school, nursery, childcare, youth work, or similar)
- A warm, nurturing, and resilient approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
- Teaching Assistant qualifications are desirable but not essential
