We are seeking a reliable, proactive, and hardworking Site Supervisor to join our friendly primary school. This role is vital in ensuring the school site is safe, secure, clean, and well‑maintained for pupils, staff, and visitors. The successful candidate will take pride in maintaining high standards across the school premises and play a key role in the day‑to‑day running of the site.
Location: Burnley
Start Date: 1st August 2026
Contract: Part‑Time (Specify) – split hours over the morning and evening.
Salary: £14.25 per hour
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the security of the school site, including opening and locking up
- Carry out general maintenance, repairs, and DIY tasks
- Oversee and maintain cleanliness and health & safety standards across the premises
- Conduct routine site checks, risk assessments, and compliance checks
- Manage contractors and support external service providers when on‑site
- Maintain school grounds, including basic gardening duties where required
- Respond promptly to any site‑related issues
About You
- Have previous experience in site management, caretaking, or maintenance (school setting desirable)
- Possess good handyman / DIY skills
- Have a strong understanding of health and safety regulations
- Be reliable, organised, and able to work independently
- Demonstrate a proactive and flexible approach to work
- Have good communication skills and a team‑focused attitude
- Must have a valid enhanced DBS check
- Must have completed child protection and prevent duty training
- Have appropriate qualifications and training for this role
