We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part-Time KS2 Teacher to join our supportive and forward-thinking team. This role is ideal for an experienced educator or an ECT looking to balance high-quality teaching with flexible working.
You will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, supporting student development, and contributing positively to the wider school community.
Location: Burnley
Hours: Part-time (Mon-Wed/or negotiable depending on availability)
Contract: Temporary – long-term
Salary: £120 - £150 per day then AWR is addressed after 12 working weeks – will be paid in line with the M-Scale of the role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the curriculum
- Assess, track, and report on student progress
- Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively
- Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to departmental planning
- Attend meetings and training as required (pro rata)
About You:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching - ideally in KS2
- Strong classroom management skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
- Excellent communication and organisation skills
- Passion for teaching and learning
