We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and nurturing Learning Key Stage 2 (LKS2) Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and welcoming school community. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children in Years 3 and 4, supporting their academic, social, and emotional development. Working closely with class teachers and the wider school team, you will help create a positive and engaging learning environment where every child can thrive and achieve their potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning within the classroom.
  • Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
  • Assist pupils with varying learning needs, ensuring all children can access the curriculum.
  • Promote positive behaviour and encourage pupil engagement.
  • Help prepare and organise learning resources and classroom displays.
  • Support pupils' social, emotional, and pastoral development.
  • Contribute to assessment and monitoring of pupil progress.
  • Assist with educational visits, school activities, and extracurricular opportunities as required.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals where appropriate.

  • Show a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or be willing to undertake appropriate training (desirable).
