We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and committed Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers to support pupils’ learning, development and wellbeing, helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Location: Padiham
Contract: Full-time
Start Date: 1 September 2026
Salary: £14.25 - £15 per hour
Key Responsibilities- Support teaching and learning across KS1, working with individuals and small groups
- Assist pupils with literacy, numeracy and early learning skills
- Help to create a safe, engaging and nurturing classroom environment
- Support children with additional needs where required
- Assist with classroom preparation and organisation of resources
- Promote positive behaviour and support pupils’ social and emotional development
- Work collaboratively with teachers, staff and parents
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with children aged 5–7 (school-based experience preferred)
- Is patient, caring and enthusiastic about supporting young learners
- Demonstrates strong communication and teamwork skills
- Has a good understanding of the KS1 curriculum (desirable)
- Holds a relevant TA qualification (Level 2 or 3 desirable, but not essential)
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
