Full Time Graduate Teaching Assistant Opportunities across Blackpool and the Fylde Primary Schools! Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with several Primary schools across the Blackpool, Wyre and Fylde area to recruit Graduate Teaching Assistants who wish to begin a teacher training programme in the future, but firstly want to gain additional experience.
We are currently recruiting graduates for several full-time roles in Primary Schools where the successful applicants will be given the opportunity to gain school-based experience and the tools necessary to become excellent future teachers. Over the course of the year, graduate teaching assistants will gradually take on more responsibilities at their respective school.
Working with a range of talented teachers, you will support students' learning and get first-hand insight into what is required to be a confident and capable teacher.
Responsibilities:- Full time Graduate Teaching Assistant opportunities within our Future Teachers Programme
- Opportunities for English, Maths, Education studies, Childhood studies, Psychology graduates OR graduates with transferable skills aspiring to become teachers in the future
- Work in a Primary School for the full academic year from April 2026
- Earn £13.75 - £14.50 per hour, whilst gaining vital school-based experience
The Graduate Teaching Assistant opportunities are full time in allocated schools across Blackpool and the Fylde where you will undertake a variety of tasks and activities that will give you a good understanding as to the role of a teacher. A significant proportion of these tasks and activities will also benefit your subject knowledge as you will focus on raising pupil attainment, supporting special needs pupils, covering classes, assisting with planning, preparing lessons and developing schemes of work.
Responsibilities within the graduate teaching assistant role include providing:- One to one booster sessions/interventions where you will raise pupil attainment
- SEN support where you can work alongside pupils with Special Educational Needs
- In-class support to enhance pupils' learning experience
- Assistance with planning and preparation of lessons alongside teachers to upskill you in this area
- HLTA role where you will experience covering lessons (PPA) and classroom management
