Part-Time SEN Teacher - Full Academic Year Contract

Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join their resource base, based at a Primary School, on a part-time basis for the full academic year. The resource base provides a supportive and nurturing environment for pupils who require respite and additional support before successfully reintegrating into mainstream education. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher who is passionate about making a real difference to the lives of children with additional needs.
The Role
- Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons
- Assessing, monitoring and recording pupil progress
- Adapting learning to meet individual SEN and SEMH needs
- Creating a calm, safe and nurturing learning environment
- Supporting pupils with their academic, social and emotional development
- Working closely with school staff, families and external professionals
- Preparing pupils for a successful transition back into mainstream education
- Completing marking, assessments and other responsibilities expected of a class teacher
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds QTS
- Has previous teaching experience, ideally supporting pupils with SEN and/or SEMH
- Is patient, resilient and adaptable
- Has a strong understanding of behaviour and positive behaviour management strategies
- Can build strong, trusting relationships with pupils
- Is passionate about inclusive education and helping every child achieve their potential
- Is confident taking on full teaching responsibilities
