Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join a specialist SEN School and College in Bury. This rewarding full-time role involves supporting young people aged 11-19 with a range of additional and complex needs across both secondary and post-16 settings.

What You'll Be Doing
- Providing tailored 1:1 and small-group support to young people with additional needs
- Encouraging confidence, participation, and engagement in daily activities and learning
- Supporting individuals with a range of SEN and complex needs
- Assisting with personal care where required, always promoting dignity, respect, and independence
- Using positive behaviour support strategies to manage and de-escalate challenging situations
- Helping students build communication, social, and life skills
- Promoting independence and preparing young people for adulthood
- Creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where every individual can thrive
- Working closely with teachers, therapists, support staff, and families to achieve the best outcomes for each learner

- Experienced in care, support work, education, youth work, residential care, or similar settings
- Confident working with young people who may display behaviours that challenge
- Excellent communicators who work well within a team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
