Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting an enthusiastic and motivated Geography Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in Bruton from September. This is a fantastic opportunity for an inspiring educator who is passionate about helping students develop a greater understanding of the world and its diverse environments.
The school is seeking a teacher who can:
- Deliver high-quality Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 teaching experience is beneficial but not essential).
- Plan, prepare and assess lessons that cater to a range of learning abilities.
- Foster a classroom culture that promotes participation, confidence and academic success.
- Monitor and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to support achievement.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to the success of the Humanities department and wider school community.
Requirements:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Has experience teaching Geography within a secondary school setting.
- Demonstrates excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
- Has the ability to motivate and engage students of varying abilities.
- Is committed to maintaining high standards of teaching, learning and safeguarding.
