We are working with a warm and welcoming primary school in North Bristol who are seeking a caring and committed Wellbeing Support Assistant to join their team from September. This is a school‑based, 1:1 Teaching Assistant role, where you will be paired with an individual pupil to provide tailored support throughout the school day. School‑based experience is desirable; however, we are primarily looking for the right personality and a genuine passion for supporting children’s wellbeing. As such, we will also consider applicants with informal childcare experience, such as youth work, church groups, holiday camps, or similar settings.

Responsibilities
  • Working on a 1:1 basis with a pupil who has additional needs
  • Supporting the learning and wellbeing of children with SEN, which may include Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties
  • Helping pupils to access learning, regulate emotions, and build confidence
  • Supporting both academic progress and emotional wellbeing
  • Working closely with class teachers and the SEN team

  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (school or care‑based experience welcomed)
  • Passionate about inclusive education and pupil wellbeing
  • Able to commit to full‑time, term‑time hours
