We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to provide speech and language support at a friendly and welcoming primary school in BS8 from September. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to make a real difference in the lives of children with communication needs. No qualifications or school experience needed. The role:
- Supporting pupils with speech and language needs in the classroom alongside the class teacher
- Working one to one or in small groups with children who need extra help with their communication skills
- Helping children build confidence in speaking, listening and understanding
- Using visual aids, games and activities to support language development
- Building positive relationships and encouraging progress
- Preparing resources and assisting with classroom activities
What we are looking for:
- A genuine passion for supporting children
- Patience, empathy and a can do attitude
- Strong communication skills
- Reliability and commitment
- An enhanced DBS check (we can help you apply for this if you do not have one)
