We are seeking a committed and resilient Cover Supervisor to support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs across primary and secondary school settings. This is a rewarding role for someone passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will:
- Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring pupils remain engaged in learning while maintaining a safe, structured, and supportive environment.
- Deliver pre-planned lessons and activities in the absence of teaching staff.
- Provide tailored support to pupils with SEN and SEMH needs.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and support services.
- Follow school safeguarding, behaviour, and inclusion policies at all times.
Experience working with children or young people with SEN and/or SEMH needs is essential. Relevant qualifications or training (e.g. education, psychology, youth work) are desirable but not essential.
