We are looking for an energetic and proactive KS2 Teaching Assistant to take on a full time 1:1 role in the BS34 area of Bristol. This position starts in September and involves working closely with an individual child who needs additional support to thrive in their learning.

  • Providing dedicated 1:1 support to a child in a KS2 class
  • Helping your pupil access the curriculum and engage with classroom activities
  • Supporting social, emotional and communication development
  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to follow support plans
  • Building a positive and trusting relationship with your pupil
  • Encouraging independence and confidence in a nurturing way
  • Supporting your pupil during lessons, break times and transitions throughout the day

Experience working with primary aged children, ideally in KS2 or a school setting:

  • A proactive and energetic approach
  • Patience, empathy and a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
  • Strong communication skills
  • Reliability and professionalism
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
