Teaching Personnel has an exciting opportunity for a SEN Teaching Assistant to work within one of our Primary Schools in the Keynsham area. As a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant, you will be based in a dedicated SEN hub within a school, supporting Primary-aged children who may become emotionally dysregulated. You will work closely with teachers and support staff to create a safe, structured, and nurturing environment that promotes positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing one-to-one and small group support tailored to individual needs
- Implementing behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques
- Assisting with personalised learning plans to help pupils achieve their goals
- Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils to encourage engagement
- Creating and maintaining a safe and nurturing classroom environment, ensuring children feel secure and supported in their learning
