About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join our supportive and inclusive team. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with pupils who have a range of special educational needs, including autism, learning difficulties, speech and language needs, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges.
You will play a key role in delivering tailored, high-quality teaching that supports every child’s individual learning journey and helps them reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to meet individual learning needs
- Develop and implement Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment
- Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and external professionals
- Monitor, assess and report on student progress
- Manage behaviour positively using appropriate strategies
- Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and the wider school community
About You
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (or equivalent)
- Has experience working with children or young people with SEN (desirable)
- Demonstrates strong understanding of differentiated teaching strategies
- Is patient, empathetic, and resilient
- Has excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
