What You Will Be Doing:

  • Providing dedicated 1-1 support to children in Reception.
  • Helping children settle into school life and adjust to new routines.
  • Supporting children with transitions throughout the school day.
  • Building confidence and encouraging independence.
  • Assisting with social skills, communication and emotional development.
  • Working closely with the class teacher, EYFS team and SENCo.
  • Creating a calm, nurturing and supportive environment.
  • Monitoring progress and providing feedback to the class teacher.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years (ideal but not essential).
  • Experience working with young children (paid or voluntary).
  • A genuine passion for supporting children in their early years.
  • A patient, calm and nurturing approach.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Reliability and professionalism.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
