Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a specialist SEN school in South Bristol to recruit a qualified and experienced Occupational Therapist to join their team from September. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment, supporting pupils with a range of complex needs, including autism, sensory processing difficulties, and additional learning needs. You will play a key role in assessing pupils, developing and implementing personalised intervention plans, and enabling students to access education and build independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out functional and sensory assessments within the school setting
- Developing and delivering individualised intervention programmes
- Supporting pupils with sensory regulation, motor skills, and daily living skills
- Working collaboratively with teaching staff, support staff, and external professionals
- Providing guidance and training to staff to support pupil outcomes
- Monitoring progress and adapting interventions accordingly
Requirements:
- Qualified Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration
- Experience working with children and/or young people with SEN (desirable)
- Strong understanding of sensory integration and intervention strategies
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
